Midnight Dance is a small watercolor, created on 5" x 8" watercolor paper.
This little abstract painting started as gestural drawing of a horse.
I added several washes, and suddenly the dancers appeared.
They are celebrating life through it's many ups and downs, its bright moments and its darkest.
